Job Description

Summary of Role
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure the assigned discipline design output
  • Ensure deliverables are produced to acceptable industry standards in compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Deliver all discipline activities to cost, schedule and quality criteria
  • Act as lead process engineer to manage discipline team as required
  • Assist with discipline objectives and budget across business unit as required
  • Assist in managing and developing the assigned discipline team functional capability through the use of appropriate technology, design methods, engineering software and application of industry best practice
  • Provide support for enquiries, proposals and execute assigned jobs across all business streams as required

Responsibilities & Tasks

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes, standards and procedures. Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant codes and standards
  • Administer and implement company, and where applicable, client / project policies and procedures
  • Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans
  • Ensure delivery of all aspects of discipline design, specification and procurement of the project to cost, schedule and quality criteria
  • Ensure technical integrity of all discipline deliverables on the project
  • Plan and maintain the discipline progress of the project
  • Supervision of discipline personnel and allocation of work
  • Remain abreast of legislative requirements
  • Approval, checking and preparation of design / engineering documentation
  • Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered
  • Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineered technology
  • Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, clients, etc.
Other Duties
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of processes and systems for wider use in the discipline
  • Input to staff appraisals of junior discipline staff
  • Undertake training of less experienced engineers, including duties as a mentor
  • Provide technical assistance to business development strategies, activities and initiatives
