Job Description
Oversee offshore execution of work being carried out by contractors on behalf of the client to ensure the efficient and successful delivery of the project work scope(s).
The duties may be required onboard a diving/ROV vessel or host platform/FPSO.
Knowledge of the following is required:
- Subsea trees, pipelines, manifolds and electrical/hydraulic controls systems.
- Diving/ROV work procedures.
- Risk assessment processes.
- Permit to work processes.
- Isolation philosophies and barrier testing procedures.
- Offshore working safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Act on behalf of the client, working alongside the client diving representative and contractor project team on vessels and host platform/FPSO operations and maintenance teams as applicable.
- Ensure that work procedures are followed, identify required change to procedure and participate in management of change processes as required.
- Ensure a focus on the client’s interests, feeding back any concerns to the Client Diving Representative and/or onshore project leadership team as necessary.
- Take part in offshore team briefs and toolbox talks as required.
Primary Role
- Participate in regular offshore meetings/discussions, ensuring that the works are being carried out in a safe manner and to the required quality.
- Be a proactive participant in daily calls/meetings with offshore and onshore teams as necessary.
- Monitor work activities to ensure procedures are being followed and hazards controlled in a safe manner.
- Co-ordinate host platform/FPSO support required for efficient progress of work scopes.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development and execution of subsea work scopes onboard DSV/ROV vessels.
Personal Qualities
The Client Offshore Technical Representative will require to be both a person of authority on a worksite but may also require to take direction from a project leader located onshore.
